Today kicks off National Safety Month, a 30-day campaign dedicated to preventing workplace injuries, accidents and deaths. Sponsored by the National Safety Council (NSC), National Safety Month is supported by thousands of organizations and businesses throughout the U.S.
For the 2015 Safety Month campaign, the theme is What I Live For, and the NSC is encouraging workers, business leaders and the general public to share their stories to support this campaign.
Some of the specific focuses that the NSC will be promoting during the June 2015 campaign reportedly include (but are not limited to):
While the NSC has various posters, tip sheets and other resources employers can use to promote National Safety Month, it is also offering a free safety webinar, The Hidden Threats to Safety, which is open to the public and scheduled for June 26th.
